MEDIA ALERT: AMD, HP and IBM to join RapidMind for Technical presentations and live multi-core demonstrations at Supercomputing 2007
RENO, NEVADA - NOV. 12, 2007 - November 12, 2007: RapidMind, developer of the award-winning RapidMind Multi-core Development Platform, will be featuring technical presentations from guest speakers and RapidMind Chief Scientist, Dr. Michael McCool, at its booth during Supercomputing 2007. Speakers will be discussing how HPC and enterprise organizations are using RapidMind today to create manageable, single-threaded applications that leverage the full potential of multi-core processors from AMD® and Intel® and to seamlessly take advantage of the application acceleration available from GPUs and the Cell Broadband Engine™.
RapidMind will also be offering live demonstrations of the RapidMind Platform throughout the duration of Supercomputing 2007. RapidMind will be at booth number 342 on the exhibition floor.

Live Application Demonstrations
RapidMind will be showcasing a variety of industry applications built using RapidMind, including:

- Image reconstruction for the medical imaging and seismic analysis industries
- Image processing for the graphic design industry
- Fluid simulation computation for the gaming and animation industries
RapidMind will also be discussing how performance improvements of 8x are achievable for financial applications by leveraging the full performance of quad core CPUs.
