Privacy Policy

This policy describes how we treat information received from you. RapidMind Inc. respects your privacy and shares your concerns about how your information is used and/or disclosed to others.

Privacy Policy

In general, we will use personally identifiable information (for example names, addresses, job titles, phone numbers, fax numbers, e-mail addresses, etc.) only for purposes we have identified prior to or at the time of collecting the information from you, and we will allow you to easily opt out at any time. If the information collected from you does not include any personally identifiable information, we may use it for internal purposes, but will not disclose it to third parties.

Collection and Use of Information

From time to time, you may provide us with information, for example by completing an electronic or paper form, by subscribing to a RapidMind newsletter or the like, by completing a survey, by filling out cards at trade show booths, or by some other such means.

We typically gather personally identifiable information only for purposes such as the following:

  • To establish and maintain a normal business relationship with you
  • To provide you with ongoing service
  • To contact you about special promotions and events
  • To keep you up to date on industry trends
  • To track the effectiveness of our marketing programs
  • To assist us in better understanding your needs

The intended purpose(s) for the personally identifiable information will be disclosed to you at or before the time of collecting the information from you, and we will not use the information for any other purpose without your consent.

We will provide a simple means for you to check your personally identifiable information and to have that information corrected, updated, or removed from our database.

Alternatively, we may from time to time collect certain information automatically, for example through your interaction with our website. Such automatic information may include the IP address used to connect your computer to the Internet, login information, passwords, e-mail addresses, and computer connection information and the like which cannot be traced back to a specific individual. Although not personally identifiable information, we will not disclose this information to others, and you may ask to have the information removed from our database.

Disclosure of Information

RapidMind does not sell, trade, or rent your information to others, and will not disclose it to others in any identifiable manner. However, information collected may be compiled for statistical or like purposes, and summaries may be disclosed to third parties provided that they contain no personally identifiable information.

Spam

RapidMind generally will send e-mails only to:

  • Recipients with whom it has a business relationship;
  • Recipients who have expressly consented to e-mails;
  • Recipients who have provided implied consent, for example by providing us with an e-mail address.

Notwithstanding the preceding, RapidMind may from time to time send generally one-time only unsolicited e-mails to e-mail addresses obtained from third parties or gathered from public sources.

In any event, anyone receiving an unwanted e-mail will be provided with an easy mechanism to “unsubscribe”, whereupon RapidMind will promptly remove the e-mail address from the relevant e-mail list(s).

General

All information collected from you will be protected from unauthorized access, and kept only as long as is reasonably required. All RapidMind employees are required to abide by this Policy as part of their employment.

This privacy policy is effective January 1, 2007. RapidMind reserves the right to change this policy at any time. For an up-to-date version, please contact info@rapidmind.com.
